Nice and fun game!. With a bit more twist and your game has almost ev'ry functions of a typical platform game. Maybe you're developing another game of this style ?

Cons: Hmmm, It took me < 10 mins to beat, for improvement, can you implement some items for the player to pick, and more type of enemies ?

As I said above, your next platform game (if it happens) will be much nicer than this, c'mon man!, look forward to your next versions :)

Excellent game in my opinion. The sfx are amazing and it looks just like a console game. I do agree though, you could take it to a higher level by implimenting a few item classes. I wish i could make a game like that, but unfortunetly im still a newbie at game programming.

Thanks for all the comments!

I'm currently rewriting the code for the game so it can have new environments like cities, and outer space. I'll make sure to upload plenty of new demos.

@Tutukun: I have heard of a problem where SDL crashes on certain systems. Have you played any other SDL games? If so, it's a problem with the game.

Also, I will be uploading the code when it's done, whenever that is

I just download the Invasion_demo from ur website n the game runs just fine. So i guess its must b a problem with ur blocky game :(

It would appear so...

The problem might be with the audio code, because Invasion didn't have any audio.

I'm getting the same error, "Fatal signal: Segmentation Fault (SDL Parachute Deployed)".

Plus I had to go download msvcr71.dll... naughty stompy!

AMD Sempron 1.6Gz

Crappy built-in 32MB video
Windows ME

Don't really know what is going on there. I thought that msvcr71.dll was only for VC++ programs, but I built this particular game using Code::Blocks. I'm probably wrong about that, however.

Nice game!

Few little glitches like being able to walk over the smaller gaps and not fitting down the smaller holes (the bit where there are hundreds of the monster blocks underneath - 2nd level?)

Would be nice to have a timer as I found it most fun trying to do speed runs, like the crazy super mario brothers in X minute videos.

Keep up the good work!
