Well I was rather disappointed by Suite Night, although this is based solely on my past experience. My main gripe is that they didn't use the ballrooms at all like they did back in 2002, and so we were packed into these suites like sardines in a tin can. I was afraid to enter into the THQ suite because it seriously looked like I'd never be able to get back out. Some of the suites, like THQ and 1UP.com, had foosball, air hockey or pool tables. Others had projection screens playing videos of games the company produced. The best though was the GirlsInGames suite where they had an Xbox 360 hooked up and were playing Dead or Alive 4. That was nice to watch, although it would have been cool to see the girls fight for real too. *whistles innocently*
So yea, THQ had the best food, with snack bags and popcorn and cotton candy - talk about catering to the junkie developers! Awright! They also had the biggest suite and most things to do. Overall though I was expecting companies to try harder to entertain us than to promote themselves. Oh well, if they have it again in San Fran I'll check it out to see if it gets any better, or if it's just all downhill from here.
