Description

Blastoids is a basic Asteroids clone with many new enhancements including a detailed control system, multiple powerups, highscore list, levels, music and sound, and great graphics.

Design
This was initially a test for a 2D game engine I was working on named Lucid making full use of the SDL graphics library. After I realized that development on Lucid wasn't going to finish anytime soon, I decided to trash Lucid and have it dedicated to Blastoids. This is the aftermath.

Acknowledgments
I'd like to thank Chris "coldacid" Charabaruk, Evolutional, Karl "Zahlman" Knechtel, toXic1337 and Genjix for their programming expertise, advice and some of their code. Neil Kemp helped out a lot with testing and also found the great asteroid graphics. Everyone in the GameDev community helped out a lot during the development and if I missed your name, thank you too!

System Requirements

An OpenGL compatible machine would be sufficient. If it runs slowly on your machine, go into the options and turn down the graphic detail.
