Freeware Game - Detritus Race against time in this futile attempt to clear the screen of rubble. Futile, yes. It's unfair, it's fast, and it's actually very pretty. Download Detritus, and pit youself against the very best by submitting your scores to our Online Highsc...

Calculating the "zoom out" value Quote:Original post by szecs Well, the 1.22 value does not compute... I guess there's something else messed up with the OP's code. 1.22 computes for me. The original poster mentioned he guessed the value. I suspect if he tries, the value 1.34 wi...

Linux C++ IDE Chalk me up as another code::blocks user. I used it on windows before I made the switch to linux, and after playing around with KDevelop for a while, went back to CB. My 2 largest gripes about it are the lack of a makefile generator (apparen...

Rate my "Magic pencil" logo It's not bad, but it's not brilliant either. Without knowing more about what the logo is for, it's hard to judge how well it fits the purpose. I'll try and throw out some advice, but take it all with a grain of salt. So, some general points, in n...

Freeware Game - Detritus Thanks for the nice feedback, even though my game is still riddled with problems. It's nice to know that (finally), my persistance is paying off and I'm writing games which are actually fun. I'm still working on fixing things, but have had ve...

Freeware Game - Detritus Argh, errors! I'm working on the next release, which has decent error messages and better enumeration, so I'll hopefully be able to figure out whats causing these problems. For the nice vector graphics, I cheat, and use images. The main re...

Freeware Game - Detritus Hi all, thanks very much for the feedback. I'm glad people like the music and beat matching. There are quite a few problems and bugs which have been uncovered, however I'm heading off on holiday and won't have time to fix them until I get bac...

Freeware Game - Detritus Marvin & Nick - Thanks guys :) DrGUI - Because there's only one soundtrack, I didn't need to use beat detection. I simply found the time between beats, and so the time between each major beat, offbeat, etc. I then found points thoughou...
