This maybe a dum question but I’m working on the menu system for my game project and I was wondering if anyone knows of an easy way to make D3D go 2D where you could make vertex data be the same as an actual pixel position

New DX9 Game to try

Ok, here’s the latest installment of the game project I’ve been messing with, it’s all done in C++ with directx9. Sword fighting and customizable combat movements with a skeletal animation system.

Nope your not missing anything, run a profiler on your program and you'll find that it really is that slow |

I've implemented all of the above with custom vertex shaders and all, what Red Drake said is right.
I started off thinking a bone was a line too, you get over that after a while

For my game I wrote a plugin for 3DS Max that will give me the bone information and blending weights, however I never came up with a good way to do the animations in max and export them, I wrote a seperate animation tool that runs in game to do this... |

Yup the sword swinging only in front of you is by design for now, till i think of a better way to go about it, right now it works that you can only swing if another character is highlighted. Crouching has no effect, haven't gotten to do th... |

Runs nice and smoth on my PC: P4 2.53GHZ 512MB RAM radeon9000 64meg DX9.0. Really hard, possibly too many incomeing missiles or whatever they’re called, but a very good game. |
