About:
Blocky Man is a simple yet fun sidescroller in the tradition of Super Mario Brothers. Colorful programmer art and midi video game music accompany this truely old school platformer.

Cons: Hmmm, It took me < 10 mins to beat, for improvement, can you implement some items for the player to pick, and more type of enemies ?
As I said above, your next platform game (if it happens) will be much nicer than this, c'mon man!, look forward to your next versions :)

I do agree though, you could take it to a higher level by implimenting a few item classes. I wish i could make a game like that, but unfortunetly im still a newbie at game programming.

I'm currently rewriting the code for the game so it can have new environments like cities, and outer space. I'll make sure to upload plenty of new demos.
@Tutukun: I have heard of a problem where SDL crashes on certain systems. Have you played any other SDL games? If so, it's a problem with the game.
Also, I will be uploading the code when it's done, whenever that is

The problem might be with the audio code, because Invasion didn't have any audio.

Plus I had to go download msvcr71.dll... naughty stompy!

Posted - 11/5/2005 10:15:39 AM | Nice game!
Few little glitches like being able to walk over the smaller gaps and not fitting down the smaller holes (the bit where there are hundreds of the monster blocks underneath - 2nd level?)
Would be nice to have a timer as I found it most fun trying to do speed runs, like the crazy super mario brothers in X minute videos.
Keep up the good work!
