About:
OpenGL-based asteroids rip-off. Shoot big, floating rocks and collect weapon powerups (Blaster for rapid-fire, Megaton for insta-destruction of rocks), Invincibility (short-duration), Shield (to restore energy to shields) and Point powerups to aid in your quest to eliminate all asteroids from the sector. Which can't really happen, because as far as I can tell there seems to be an unlimited supply.

I like the idea of powerups and shields in asteroids, and the fire effects look great. The only problem I found is if you click the 'X' to close the window the window goes away but it is still running in the background, other than that it's a very smooth running game :). Good Job.
Yeah, seems to be a quirk of GLFW that I ran into when I made that--no immediately obvious way to handle a window kill event. I can't remember if I ever got around to fixing it in the library, or even if I figured out how to fix it. Been awhile since I hacked on it, and I've been back with SDL for awhile. Maybe tonight or tomorrow I'll dig it out again and see if I can fix it. Guess I should have put a warning on it.
I like it, but it's hard to tell from a quick glance where the front of the space ship is. You might want to make the front longer and more triangular.
