About:
This is an evolutionary project. It creates a basic RPG battle engine, then moves onto more advanced engines. Compare FFI to FFX. That is how this project will advance.

The program exits and I get this in my log.log
Quote:
Can't load resource: D:/Documents and Settings/Home/Desktop/hge-1.53/self/Battle Engine/Battle Engine/maps/images/basic.jpg
Can't load resource: D:\Documents and Settings\Home\Desktop\hge-1.53\self\Battle Engine\Battle Engine\maps\fonts\basic.fnt
Can't load resource: D:/Documents and Settings/Home/Desktop/hge-1.53/self/Battle Engine/Battle Engine/chars/images/pc.png
I've already checked if the files exist and they do :P The only problem is I don't even have D: :D
Hello! I installed also,i get the same error msg as above and searched all the folders and files but found no "log.log". I executed the .exe in the zipped folder and in a folder i created with all the files extracted to it and same occured. Just thought id let you know! :) Great idea though! This will really inspire the group that I'm working with on an RPG right now.
How bizarre. Can you please give me some more information about how you started this application and the system stats, including OS and DirectX version, that this application was run on please?
The EXE-File seems to be Corrupt!
"Diese Anwendung konnte nicht gestartet werden, weil die Anwen(d)ungskonfiguration nicht korrekt ist. Zur Problembehebung sollten Sie die Anwendung neu installieren.". That's the same Error-Message from the one before me.
The EXE-File got a size of 348kb (356.352 Bytes).
No .log-File gets created 'cause the application doesnt even get started.
Well its been a little while now but if I remember correctly:
Downloaded
Extracted
Executed .exe file inside Current Directory
Then Recieved the message...
Thats really about all that happened.. I did execute the program on a computer here @ work for web design (Dell Optiplex GX240) which arent the best but it has installed DirectX 9.0c and WinXP SP2. Hope that helps you a bit!!
This is really weird. It seems to work on the machines I test it on. Perhaps you could download the source (the link is in the project description), build it and report on the results.
