About:
The 3D version of Galaxy Gladiator. Uses a vector based movement system allowing for slides, this is to give the player an edge over the otherwise pain in the arseish AI. Uses a SkySphere rather then Box so you cant see the edges. Also the HUD is a dynamically generated grid formed around the ship the Camera is chasing. Custome created particle systems, altho simple.

That was fun, nice job. I like the background; that skySphere radar is awesome; i really like having the regenerating shield and energy bars; and my favorite part is probably the exploding enemy ships - pretty colors. :-)
Thank you, its great to hear some feedback. Im particularly fond of the explosions myself, they stared as rather dull clumpy spheres with a brass colouring, these ones where my atempt at being artistic with them.
I found it much too difficult to aim to be fun. The game will be much more playable when you add crosshairs or something to show where your shots are going to go. Also, when you lose all of your lives and are entering your name, the life count keeps dropping well into the negative hundreds and the screen moves when you press a or d.
The movement of the ship and camera is very well done, and the explosions are excellent. I look forward to the next version of the game.
bloody fscking awesome, man! Fast, simple and addictive.
It would be cool if you included a scripting engine like lua for extending the enemy AI, then other people could make teamwork, formations, bosses, all kinds of cool stuff. And you could start a web page for all the mods so everyone could try each others mods! But then it migh lose it's speed and simplicity...
Multiplayer would be really cool as well.
