Doesn't seem to run. I've tried it on two computers. "failed to start because the application configuration was incorrect"

What are the OSes of the machines you are trying to run it on?
I can run it on WinXP Home SP2, and have had someone else run it on WinXP Pro SP2.

I've just uploaded the release build, do you still get the same problems?

here is the error dependency walker displayed:

Error: At least one module has an unresolved import due to a missing export function in an implicitly dependent module.
Error: The Side-by-Side configuration information in "C:\Asteriods\ASTERIODS3D.EXE" contains errors. This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem (14001).
Warning: At least one module has an unresolved import due to a missing export function in a delay-load dependent module.

I've included a new file, vccrt.msi.
If the game does not run for you run the msi (you may have to right click and select install). This should solve the problems.
Tell me how it goes.

I see your having the same problem I am, with the skybox looking like a 'box'.

Also when I exited the program, my system locked up, so after I did a alt-ctrl-del, it showd asteroids.exe still running as a process, I closed it and everything un-froze (or melted :)

Anyway, I hope you keep working on it.

The game looked pretty good from where I was. I found the controls a bit difficult to master though, and my brain is not good (or creative) enough to find a different mapping scheme for easier controls. I would suggest using the mouse al-la freelancer style (http://www.microsoft.com/games/freelancer/), but you might have better ideas. Otherwise, great work! Keep it up. :)
