Well it may only be Monday but that doesn't mean we can't start to party! After attending the IGDA's chapter workshop (which I'll be reporting on later) I went over to check out the Serious Games Summit reception. It was held in the foyer of the Marriot suites, which was nice since that section had a glass wall overlooking the entrance to the convention center. It was a little cramped though, and so like last year developers were bumping about trying to get around.

After hanging out at the SGS reception for a little bit, I decided to head on over to the GDC Mobile reception taking place in the Fairmont. At least there was some food at this one, the SGS reception had some cooks making up asian dishes but all the munchies were gone and I hadn't felt like waiting in line. I didn't bump into any one new at the reception, which figured seeing as I'm not much into the mobile industry. But it was nice to go just to say I went. Eh.

Soooo after hanging at that reception for all of like fifteen minutes and snacking on some carrots and dip I headed out into the Fairmont lobby bar to mingle. It's so awesome being back in San Jose and having the Fairmont bar to hang out at again. I ran into quite a few folk, and hung out until I had to head over to Johnny Rockets to meet up with some fellow New Jersey developers for dinner.
